Anti-Bullying Week

Jigsaw Team
Anti bullying week

To show our support, we’ve created fantastic FREE resources!

Our newly-created resources show our dedication to empower young people to recognise their inner strengths and support each other in building positive, inclusive communities. Our new anti-bullying resources enhance the existing content built into our programme, a key part of which is our ‘Celebrating Difference Puzzle’ (more information on this can be found below).

We would love to see photos and videos of your children taking part in your Jigsaw Anti-Bullying Week activities! Please tag us on social media (links to our socials can be found in the footer). You can also send in pictures and ideas by email to our Schools Support team here.

Anti-Bullying Week Primary resources (3-11)

You can find more detail on these resources in our ‘Primary Overview Sheet’, which we’ve designed to help you plan and adapt your school’s Anti-Bullying Week activities quickly and easily! We’ve also created a ready-to-use information letter that your school can share with families. Below is an overview of our Primary resources:

  • Whole School Assembly
Introduces the ‘Power for Good’ theme, exploring our inner strengths and actions that we can choose to take to support ourselves and others. Includes our brand-new Jigsaw song ‘To the Sky’
  • Recommended Book List
Carefully selected books to help children explore both inner and action superpowers across all age ranges (3+, 5+, 8+, 11+)
  • Superhero Sock Day – Resource Sheets: ‘Our Jigsaw Power Squad’ and ‘Power Spotting Mission’
Two fun whole-school activity options to celebrate Odd Socks Day! Includes printable resource sheets and ideas for cross-year group collaboration.
  • My Power Hands – for EYFS
A fun activity to help children explore how they can use their hands in positive ways to support and include others.
  • Jigsaw Friends in Socks
Jigsaw Jerrie and all the Jigsaw Friends are planning on joining in with Odd Socks Day – have a look at their sock choices! You can use these in your school to help celebrate Anti-Bullying Week.
  • Mapping and built-in learning for Jigsaw Schools
For schools already using Jigsaw for PSHE, we’ve created a mapping document to show how you’re already delivering anti-bullying messages through the Celebrating Difference units and across the year – making it easy to build on and embed these further during ABW.

Anti-Bullying Week Secondary resources (11-16)

Below is an overview of our Secondary resources:

  • Whole School Assembly
Introduces the ‘Power for Good’ theme, exploring how power can be demonstrated in different ways and how to use our power for good, to assert ourselves or to stand up for other people.
  • Activities for Students
Students are given a variety of options to make a pledge of how they will use their power for good. They will be provided with a variety of resources ‘sock templates’ which can then be utilised to create a whole school display.
  • Recommended Book List
A recommended booklist, with different reading ages and abilities, which explore themes such as navigating school life, exploring individuality, acceptance and friendship and the power of being yourself.
