Where Jigsaw truly comes to life

Where Jigsaw truly comes to life

Our Flagship Schools are more than experienced users of the Jigsaw approach, they are the living, breathing examples of what’s possible when Jigsaw PSHE and RE are embedded as intended; with care, confidence and consistency.

These are schools where Jigsaw isn’t just taught, it’s lived. Where staff speak a shared language, and where children feel safe, seen and supported.

What is a Jigsaw Flagship School?

A Flagship School is a Primary setting that has fully embedded Jigsaw across its curriculum, school life and ethos. These schools demonstrate how Jigsaw can:

  • Drive a consistent, whole-school approach to wellbeing and values
  • Equip staff with the tools and confidence to teach sensitive topics
  • Help children develop emotional literacy, resilience and positive relationships
  • Strengthen a school’s inclusive culture from the inside out

These schools act as exemplars, not because they are perfect, but because they are committed. Committed to children, to staff, and to creating learning environments that truly support the whole child.

And the best part? They’re not just flying the flag for Jigsaw, they are here to help other schools find their way too.

Sharing practice. Supporting others.

Flagship Schools play an important role in our community. They open their doors, share their insights, and model best-practice for other schools, whether just starting out with Jigsaw, or looking to deepen their impact.

Ways Flagship Schools support others include:

  • Hosting school visits and walkthroughs
  • Offering peer-to-peer conversations for PSHE/RE Leads
  • Sharing strategies, successes and examples of whole-school implementation
  • Contributing to training sessions and webinars
  • Featuring in case studies and collaborative projects

If you are exploring how Jigsaw might work in your setting, a visit to a Flagship School can be the most powerful insight you’ll get.

Flagship eligibility

If you've been using Jigsaw for at least one full academic year and feel you have embedded it well across your school, you may be eligible to apply to become a Flagship School.

Our School Support team will guide you through the process as it’s not about ticking boxes, it’s about reflecting on your journey and sharing it with others.

Flagship Schools benefit from:

  • Dedicated recognition and celebration of your achievements
  • Opportunities to showcase your school as a model of best practice
  • Priority access to collaborative projects and CPD opportunities
  • A stronger voice in shaping Jigsaw’s future development

We will also provide you with a badge to display on your website and a personalised certificate to share with your community.

Find your nearest Flagship

Learning from others is one of the most powerful parts of the Jigsaw journey. That’s why we make it easy to connect with schools already putting the Jigsaw approach into practice. Whether you want to see how lessons look in practice, explore whole-school integration, or simply hear from someone who’s been in your shoes, your nearest Flagship is a great place to start.
